30 min - Doha Corniche is een promenade aan het water die zich zeven kilometer lang uitstrekt langs de baai van Doha in de hoofdstad van Qatar.
1 hr 30 min - Als u op zoek bent naar een prachtige plek om te winkelen, dineren, verkennen of gewoon op een van de vele aantrekkelijke terrasjes te zitten om de wereld aan u voorbij te zien trekken, kijk dan nergens anders dan naar Souq Waqif in Doha. Eeuwenlang is deze locatie een souq geweest voor bedoeïenen (nomaden die van oudsher de Arabische en Syrische woestijnen hebben bewoond) om de wol en dieren te nemen om te ruilen voor dagelijkse benodigdheden. Naarmate de tijd verstreek, begon de souq af te lopen en stond hij bijna op het punt te worden gesloopt. Gelukkig werd in 2004 besloten om deze historische plek te behouden, zodat het hele marktgebied is gerenoveerd en gerestaureerd volgens de traditionele Qatarese architectonische technieken. Het is waarschijnlijk de enige traditionele souq die nog over is in de Golf.

Spent the day with AMIR. From the start of our day he was excellent. Great communication from the night before to confirm logistics , he speaks several languages so I’m sure he can accommodate: He arrived early and intime at our Doha hotel in traditional Qatari attire , making the the journey extra special . The car we spent the day in was SO comfortable , fully air conned , unlimited water and plenty of character from our wonderful tour guide . He showed us the old town , throughly explained the Qatari history and was an excellent tour guide by showing us the secret spots. He even hustled with the locals to get us a fair price on our behalf . Once in a lifetime trip , you need to book with AMIR from Falcon Tours ! Thankyou AMIR , we shall remember this forever.
Highly recommend this tour. The tour guide Sadiq was amazing, informative and engaging. The whole experience of visiting Souq Waqif, boat ride, seeing Pearl and Katara Cultural village and everything else I asked about was wonderful and something I won’t forget. Sadiq went above and beyond to show me as much as he could and answer all my questions.

Very interesting Doha City tour and sunset Dhow boat ride with Falcon Tours and our excellent guide Ali who gave detailed explanations of Qatar life and traditions and even extended our excursion by more than one hour! We made a very complete visit to Souk Waqif and saw different traditional shops (carpets, perfumes, spices, costumes, falcons, camels, birds etc.) and tasted local snacks and tea. We also visited Katara cultural village and the Pearl island and made a sunset boat tour to see the colourful lights of the city. Excellent excursion where you see the highlights of the city in a few hours!
