Van waar we duiken, ligt de duikplaats vlak bij de kust en is er geen boot nodig.

Alghais Diving center is an excellent place to start your diving journey. I took the open water 20 course and had couple of dives. The coaches (Mahmoud and Ahmad) are well experienced and they teaches you all the skills required to enjoy your underwater trip.

Diving in Qatar

I should break this into 2 parts:
1. Meeting the company. The ticket said to be there at 0800. I arrived at 0745. No one was there after messaging multiple numbers including viator, I finally got someone who then claimed they didn’t open that location until 1000
I came down from Doha so it was a fairly long ride through the desert to get to this location at Sealine. There is nothing near that location, no access to the resort to just wait. They showed up at about 0945 so I waited 2 hours. I was debating about canceling but this was something I really wanted to do in Qatar (one star)
2. The dive itself, when they arrived it was great got loaded up and went out for a shore dive. Not very deep, maybe 10-12meters and n both dives. Multiple artificial reefs and a surprising number of fish (angel fish and a few others I am not familiar with) I would also suggest bringing a t-shirt. It was recommended to wear one because of jellyfish, saw some small ones, but bought a rash guard from the shop before the dive as additional protection.
Water was fairly warm, do not need a wetsuit (4stars)
